With that, straight to other news. I'll hopefully expand on this later, but here's a quick update that many of you are probably aware of. I officially quit my job this month—the job I have been at for the past two years. It was kinda a terrifying experience for me because I've never quit a job of any kind before and there were so many factors involved. However, the past couple weeks have not gone as I planned. My "plan" upon quitting was considerably altered and after considering two additional job offers, I started in a new position today.
Yes, today was my first day in a new position for a new company. I filled out some paperwork, did a little bit of training, and quickly got to work. One of my first tasks was sending out the weekly email newsletter to the whole organization. This newsletter also shared a little blurb about me, so I thought I'd share.
We also have a new Communications Director: Karianne Salisbury. Karianne is a writer, graphic and layout designer, social media guru, and an editor. I hope you will join me in welcoming Karianne, who started today. I believe that we can and must communicate better; we need to be clear and timely with updates on education opportunities, changes in the economy, tools from NAR, ways social media can improve your business, and provide local economic development and transportation and construction updates, to name a few. Karianne is poised to do this and more.I'll give more details and more about the story of the transition in my life. For now, I'm back to work and further debating my blog's privacy settings. :P
