I feel like a have a million things to post about right now! I just enjoyed an evening snack of a small bag of popcorn and a sliced apple with cinnamon sprinkled on it. It was delicious!
Yesterday I helped my work put on a progressive dinner event with prizes and a screening of Men in Black 3 at the Riverwoods in Provo. We had appetizers at Shoots, dinner at the options of Malawi's or Marley's, and then dessert at La Jolla Groves. We arranged with several of the shops there to open their doors to us and donate prizes. Every attendee was given tickets to drop in a bin at the participating businesses. We'd hope to give some business/exposure to the businesses and offer some fun prizes at the same time. We had about 170 people attend. I was helping with check-in and awarding the prizes and then paying the restaurants. :D
Anyways...by the end of the evening (I had to leave before the movie to rush to my Zumba class), I was exhausted.
Today all that hard work resulted with this:

A PEDICURE!
The Board of Director's member over the Social Committee I help with wanted to thank me for my work on the event, so she talked to my supervisor and arranged to pick me up and take me for lunch and a pedicure.
She is SO good at being thankful for the work the staff does behind the scenes. It makes me want to become more like that and be better at recognizing people for what they do and offering little thank yous whenever I can.
Because it definitely made my day!
Oh, and P.S. I'm finally exploring how to use Instagram. Let me know if you have any tips!

I just read this book about being more grateful. The author talks a lot about showing gratitude to people around even for something seemingly small. It's a really good book and it's inspired me to buy some thank you cards.
